I love this time of year.
I won’t say I love “spring,” because March and April can, with all due respect, miss me with their bullsh*t. In many ways they are as gloomy and chilly as February, only with the crushing blow of the raised expectations that come from the chance of a nice day.
Not interested.
May, on the other hand…all the loveliness of summer, but a little less hot and a little less crowded, everywhere. (Why do so many people emerge in summer exclusively? Where are you all coming from?)
It’s also one of my favorite times to read. Packing a book and going to a park bench or a coffee shop is undefeated right now.
