I am, at heart, a pretentious person.

I don’t know if that is what drives my need to read everything on every “books you have to get to in a lifetime” or “unmissable paragons of literature” or “if you haven’t read this I’ll think you’re dumb” list, but it seems likely.

All that being said, that means for most of my reading career I’ve been asking myself how I can read more classics. Here’s how I’ve answered it:
